Week 10

Things at Dickinson Hall have been pretty slow. We've got a routine now where we pick out any identifiable fossils from the day before's screen-washes or pick out coal for Dave and in the afternoon we screen wash. I chose to do a poster for my project because technology is always a struggle for me, although I wouldn't consider powerpoint to be hi-tech or anything. A couple weeks ago Shane was asked to measure a screen-washing station at Thomas Farm. Once the budget is approved and we are able to buy wood, we'll be creating another screen-washing station at Dickinson which I'm looking forward to.

  1. I am glad to hear you are still screen washing, and that you are now even creating a new screen washing station. That should be fun. Update us and let us know how that goes.

  2. Awesome! I love fossils! What is the coolest fossil you have found? The biggest? Don't scare yourself away from PowerPoint because of technology. It is actually requires the same amount (if not less) tech-savvy skills than a poster requires if you count operating the large poster paper printer and computer that cues it.

  3. Keith you sound like such a professional who would have thought that in a few short weeks you would know this much about fossils. I chose to do a poster as well just because its more simple. Glad to see your well into your internship and excited for whats to come. hope you have a great week
